King Size Condoms
What are king size condoms?
King size condoms are condoms larger than the regular size. King size doesn’t actually refer to a particular size, but it’s rather an umbrella term for all large and extra large condoms with a nominal width of 56mm or higher.
How big are king size condoms?
King size condoms usually have a nominal width of 56mm or higher and a length of around 190mm. However, there is no rule or standard brands must follow. Every company can call their condoms king size as long as they are larger than the regular size from that specific brand. In other words, if the regular size from a brand is 53mm, that brand can label their 54mm condoms as king size without any issues.
Do I need a king size condom?
Most men, and especially teenagers and young adults, believe that they look cooler in front of a woman if they use king size condoms. However, showing off a packet of condoms labelled king size can’t make out for a smaller penis size. Using the wrong size condom reduces the condom’s efficiency, resulting in a higher risk of unwanted pregnancy and higher risk of contracting sexually transmitted infections.
The two main sizing issues is using a too small or too big condom.
Small condoms fit very snugly around the penis, constricting blood flow. More often than not, small condoms are uncomfortable to wear and reduce sensations due to a lower blood supply. Whilst you may use a snugger condom occasionally if you want to last longer on a particular night, it is never recommended to make it a habit. Continuous use of small condoms can lead to erectile dysfunction in the long run.
Furthermore, small condoms can break easily, either while you’re rolling the condom on your penis or during intercourse, due to increased tension.
On the other hand, using a too big condom also comes with downsides. Like small condoms, loose condoms will reduce the range of sensations you feel. The condom isn’t as likely to break, but it is very likely to slip off during intercourse.
Not only will this leave both you and your partner exposed to sexually transmitted infections and potentially unwanted pregnancy, but it will also make you look immature. That is because real men know that the most important thing is the technique, not the size of your penis.
For these reasons, you should only buy king size condoms if you really need a condom larger than regular. We sell Regular, Large and Extra Large condoms in sizes 54mm, 60mm and 69mm (see the different condom measurements in the table further down).
How to choose a king size condom?
You should choose a king size condom the same way you choose any other condom, by measuring your penis size.
To do this, measure the length of your erect penis with a ruler or flexible measuring tape, on the upper side of the penis. Then, measure the girth of your penis with a string or flexible measuring tape, by wrapping the string or tape around the thickest part of your cock (usually around the middle of the shaft).
Use these numbers to check which condom size is right for you and whether or not you need a king size condom.
What is the difference between Pasante King Size and Pasante Super King condoms?
Their size. Pasante King Size condoms are the large size condoms from the brand, with a nominal width of 60mm and 205mm of length. They’re made from natural rubber latex and have a comfort-fit design with straight walls. Pasante King Size condoms are lightly lubricated with a silicone-based lube, and are compatible with water-based and silicone-based intimate lubricants.
Pasante Super King condoms are the extra large size from the brand. They have a nominal width of 69mm and are 210mm long. Like Pasante King Size, they are made from natural rubber latex lightly coated with a silicone-based lube.
Both Pasante King Size and Pasante Super King have a thickness of 0.07mm and smooth texture. They are ideal for vaginal, anal, and oral sex. All Pasante condoms are electronically tested for safety and come in packaging marked with the CE and BSI Kitemark.
What other large and extra large condoms can I choose from?
While Pasante king size large condoms are a popular choice for larger sized condoms, there are many other brands making king size condoms, albeit they don’t use the king size name for their products. Here are a few other options you can choose from:
EXS
Manufactured by LTC Healthcare, EXS is one of the most popular condom brands in the UK, supplied by the NHS since 1993. The brand proposes three king size condom variants, each named differently. Magnum and Jumbo have a smooth texture, but both are ideal for men with very large dimensions. EXS is also the only brand that makes king size ribbed and dotted condoms – smaller than Magnum and Jumbo, but still suitable for most men who need a large condom. Their range includes:
Product name | Nominal width | Length | Thickness | Material | Lubrication | Texture |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
EXS Magnum | 60mm | 212mm | 0.063mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
EXS Jumbo | 69mm | 221mm | 0.067mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
EXS Ribbed and Dotted | 56mm | 193mm | 0.072mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Ribbed and dottedh |
Glyde
The first brand of vegan condoms, Glyde has conquered the market with its thin, ultra-smooth condoms. The king size condoms from Glyde aren’t as large as EXS, and you won’t get a textured condom either. However, if you’d rather buy a coloured condom than a textured one, the Maxi Red might be just right. Here are your options from the brand:
Product name | Nominal width | Length | Thickness | Material | Lubrication | Texture |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Glyde Maxi | 56mm | 190mm | 0.062mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
Glyde Maxi Red | 56mm | 190mm | 0.062mm | Latex; red colour | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
Glyde Supermax | 60mm | 200mm | 0.062mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
My.Size
German brand My.Size claims to manufacture personalised condoms. Whilst the sizes still come as standard, they do have a wide variety of choices, most of which suit men looking for a king or super king size condom. Let’s have a look at their options:
Product name | Nominal width | Length | Thickness | Material | Lubrication | Texture |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
My.Size 57mm | 57mm | 178mm | 0.060mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
My.Size 60mm | 60mm | 193mm | 0.060mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
My.Size 64mm | 64mm | 223mm | 0.060mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
My.Size 69mm | 69mm | 223mm | 0.060mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
My.Size 72mm | 72mm | 223mm | 0.060mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
Vitalis
Vitalis may not have as many size options as My.Size, but if you like the brand, you can opt for their X-Large condom. Since Vitalis and My.Size come from the same manufacturers, Vitalis X-large is a great option if you need a 57mm condom, but that is longer than My.Size. Another difference is the thicker wall Vitalis has, which may be just perfect for anal sex.
Product name | Nominal width | Length | Thickness | Material | Lubrication | Texture |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Vitalis X-large | 57mm | 190mm | 0.070mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
ON
From the same manufacturer as Vitalis and My.Size, ON condoms are designed with young adults in mind. This cheaper line of condoms boast the same quality as My.Size and Vitalis, but ON condoms usually come in larger packaging that helps draw down costs. Like Vitalis, ON king size condoms only come in one variant.
Product name | Nominal width | Length | Thickness | Material | Lubrication | Texture |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
ON Extra Large | 57mm | 190mm | 0.070mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
Lelo Hex
Popular sex toy brand Lelo is a true innovator in the condoms world with its Hex condoms. Thinner than most latex condoms, they consist of a maze of hexagons designed to reinforce the condom structure and enhance sensations. A nice touch compared to the ribbed and dotted condoms is that the pattern is on the inside, stimulating the male rather than the vaginal or rectal walls. Whilst you won’t get a wide range of condoms, their Respect XL sounds as impressive as King Size.
Product name | Nominal width | Length | Thickness | Material | Lubrication | Texture |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Lelo Hex Respect XL | 58mm | 195mm | 0.045mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth exterior, textured interior |
SKYN
If you or your partner are allergic to latex and you need a big size condom, you’ll be surprised to find that there are only a few choices you can pick from. SKYN is one of the most popular brands of non-latex condoms, making their sheaths of polyisoprene – a plastic material thinner than latex but much stronger. However, the large size condoms from SKYN come in only one variant. Due to the relatively thick walls, this condom is perfect for vigorous or anal sex, as well as situations when your partner suffers from vaginal dryness.
Product name | Nominal width | Length | Thickness | Material | Lubrication | Texture |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
SKYN Large | 56mm | 200mm | 0.065mm | Polyisoprene | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
Pasante Latex-Free
SKYN may not give you too many options if you need a large size condom and are allergic to latex. However, you could find a condom that suits you from Pasante. Thinner than SKYN, Pasante Unique delivers a wider range of sensations and feels like nothing between you and your partner. Like SKYN, Pasante Unique condoms are made of polyisoprene and have a smooth texture.
Product name | Nominal width | Length | Thickness | Material | Lubrication | Texture |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Pasante Unique | 60mm | 190mm | 0.015mm | Polyisoprene | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
Durex
Durex is a brand that needs no presentations. One of the most popular condom and intimate lube provider worldwide, Durex proposes a wide range of King Size condoms. They all have a nominal width of 56mm – an almost universal measure that suits most men with a larger penis – but you can pick from a variety of lengths between 190mm and 220mm. You can also choose from latex and polyisoprene variants, as well as different thicknesses. All condoms in the large range have a smooth texture and are not flavoured.
Product name | Nominal width | Length | Thickness | Material | Lubrication | Texture |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Durex Comfort XL | 56mm | 220mm | 0.075mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
Durex Latex Free | 56mm | 190mm | 0.065mm | Polyisoprene | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
Durex Real Feel | 56mm | 190mm | 0.040mm | Polyisoprene | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
Durex Thin Feel | 56mm | 205mm | 0.055mm | Latex | Silicone lube; non-flavoured | Smooth |
Are king size condoms good for G-spot vibrating rings?
G-spot or prostate massage cock rings are popular couple sex toys. They are often used when your partner needs longer stimulation, since they enhance sensations from the inside whilst also helping you delay ejaculation. Because this type of toy goes directly under the penis head, it must be used with a condom that keeps it in place – please note that the condom doesn’t have a protective function when used with this type of cock ring, since it won’t be able to block body fluids from getting in or out.
That said, the cock ring will increase girth, since it goes on top of the penis. If the condom breaks during intercourse, you may risk losing both the ring and pieces of condom inside your partner. That’s why you should size up from your regular condom size.
Typically, a condom that’s one size larger should do the trick, which means you should use a king size condom with a G-spot vibrating ring if you usually wear a regular size condom. If you usually wear a small size condom, it is advisable to buy regular size for use with cock rings.
