Frequently Asked Questions
Here's a selection of the most frequently asked questions here at Condoms.uk:
What is a condom?
How effective are condoms?
Research has shown that male condoms are up to 98% effective at preventing pregnancy.
Female condoms (or internal condoms are they're sometimes called) are generally only 95% effective.
This means that male condoms are widely regarded as the most effective method of barrier contraception.
Also, because they are a method of barrier contraception, they're also effective at reducing the transmission of STIs during intercourse. Transmission of STIs during intercourse is not prevented when using other (non-barrier) contraception methods.
What condom size do I need?
Condoms come in an array of sizes to suit different penises. If you're unsure of the correct condom size for your penis, be sure to take our quick quiz.
Finding the correct condom size leads to a better fit. Wearing the right condom means you'll experience more enjoyable and safer sex.
Do condoms expire?
Yes, they do expire. Most condoms have an expiry date printed on the outer packaging or box, and on the wrapper or foil itself.
It is not safe to use expired condoms. This is because the materials they are made from perish over time, making them unsafe and unsuitable for use.
If you have condoms that are past their expiry date, you should dispose of them immediately. You should not be tempted to use them.
Using an out of date product can lead to splits or even the condom bursting during intercourse. This can lead to unwanted pregnancy and also the transmission of STDs.
Are condoms vegan?
Not all are vegan. Some condoms - including many by high street brands - contain casein.
Here on our website, however, we stock a big range of vegan condoms for you to choose from.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as PayPal.
We also offer Clearpay and Klarna payment options.
How long will my order take to arrive?
This will depend on the delivery service you choose on checkout.
We offer a range of delivery services, from Royal Mail 48 Tracked - which usually takes 2-3 business days. Right through to DPD Next Day and Royal Mail Special Delivery.
We also offer guaranteed Saturday delivery, with DPD Saturday delivery.
